The Wild North Sea
The Wild North Sea highlights the immense biodiversity of the North Sea, urging viewers
to value and protect it. By illustrating the complex ecosystems and potential of marine life,
the film advocates for conservation, offering a hopeful vision for sustainable practices.
The central message is when we understand and respect the natural world, we can
address significant global challenges like climate change, food security, and bio-diversity loss.
The Wild North Sea inspires a collective effort to build a more sustainable & thriving planet.
Introduction and Q&A with Mark Verkerk (director/cinematographer) and Ignas Van Shaick
(producer) – to be chaired by British Film Institute Sustainable Screen team.
Following our UK premiere screening in Norwich The Wild North Sea will be touring
rural cinema locations around East Anglia during June-July 2025 - a partnership with
Creative Arts East Screen.
The first rural screening will be Diss Corn Hall Wednesday 11
June 10.30am. Bookings can be made with the venue.
